by Justin in Training

Ok guys

Here it is How to Setup a self-hosted blog

This is the way I would recommend, although I use hosted blogs from time to time, this is the way I would recommend

Today we will walk you through how to setup a self-hosted blog using WordPress.Org

So you probably noticed that there are a few steps that you will need to take to set this up

Domain Name

I recommend using a .COM first and foremost, secondly a .NET, or .ORG

Try to think of something that is short, catchy and memorable

You can pick up a domain at the same place you will get the next item, web hosting

This is the company that will host your new website online, setting up hosting is super easy as explained in the video

I recommend going with Host Gator Hosting which in my opinion is the best on the market

To save 20% on your hosting today click the banner below

You can chose the theme you would like but I recommend the stock twenty thirteen theme that comes installed with your WordPress installation.

I am rocking the Thesis theme, absolute best theme but at $65 per site, may be a little pricey for someone just getting started

Use a free theme and as you start getting money flowing in consider switching to a theme like mine.

If you want to rock the same theme as me, hit me up in the comment section and I will not only answer any questions you may have but I will give you the custom css coding to make your site a awesome as mine as a bonus.

I recommend using as few plugins as possible to keep your site lean and mean, lighter is better, pluggin weigh a ton

Here is what I rock on all my sites

Google XML Sitemap

Broken Link Checker

That’s It, however if I was running a free theme like twenty thirteen I would use one of the three top SEO plugins

  • All in One SEO Pack
  • Platinum SEO Pack
  • WordPress SEO by Yoast

That is pretty much it, watch the video which will explain everything then use a site like mine as an example of how to format your content
